My Favorite Drug Store Beauty Products

It is not always necessary to spend tons of money on beauty products. There are so many corners that I cut on certain products and you would never even know it. The most expensive products are not always the best. Some of my most favorite products are often purchased at drug stores, on amazon, or at the “more reasonable” section at Ulta. These are some of my favorites.

**As a RewardStyle/LIKEtoKNOW.it Influencer, I will make a small commission off of what you purchase via my links. It is of NO MORE COST TO YOU. All of my reviews of products are my own and always honest. I would never share anything with you that I do not use myself and personally love.

Ardell Individual Lashes – I rarely wear lash extensions but when I do, these are my go to lashes. I am not a fan of strip lashes or professional lash extensions. These are perfect for events and add a little flare to the outer corners of your eyes to give you some extra length on your lashes. The cheapest place I have found them is amazon. I prefer to use black glue with these.

CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM with SPF 30 – I use this moisturizer EVERY SINGLE DAY. I put this on my skin first thing, before any makeup. It is oil free and it was recommended by my dermatologist. My skin just tolerates it best. This is the perfect example of why you do not have to spend tons of money if something works for you. I have used this for almost two years and it is the perfect fit for my skin.

CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM – This is a lotion that I use occasionally. I use my Tatcha lotion almost every night. But I will throw this on midday if I hop out of the shower and I am not going to put makeup on but my face feels dry. It is very lightweight and also oil free. Sometimes they will run really good deals on this at Rite Aid and CVS.

NYX Butter Gloss – THIS GLOSS IS AMAZING!!!! Ulta runs bomb.com sales on this all the time. I alternate between this and my all time favorite, Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (from my 10 Favorite Beauty Product post). This is not quite as moisturizing as the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, but the colors are great! And the price doesn’t even compare. These are my favorite shades- creme brûlée, eclair, merengue, and cotton candy.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover – A little of this product goes a really long way. I use a little dab of this on a product I will share in a minute and voila, your eye makeup melts right off. I just started using this about a year ago. It really helps so that you put less elbow grease into getting your eye makeup off and that means less wrinkles and pressure on the thin skin around your eyes.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes – These are not makeup remover wipes. These are wipes that I strictly use for after workouts. When I workout at the gym and I am unable to wash my face right away, I keep these on hand in my car. They are made especially for acne-prone skin and they have a wonderful pink grapefruit scent. I love these and they have really helped to prevent breakouts. I keep a pack of them in my glovebox. I am someone who runs to the store after the gym sometimes so these come in really handy.

Burt’s Bees Moisturizing Matte Lip Crayon – The only place I can find these are CVS. These reminds me a lot of the Chubby sticks from Clinique for half the cost. My favorite is the shade #429 Hawaiian Smolder, I am a sucker for pink lips! These are very moisturizing but they are matte. There is not much gloss to these. I love Burt’s Bees products so I had to give these a try and they did not disappoint. I prefer these over the tinted chap sticks that they carry.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes – I use all types of variations of these. Sometimes I get the hydrating ones, sometimes the soothing ones. For some strange reason they have never bothered my skin. As you can tell, I love Neutrogena products. I have used these makeup remover wipes since high school. I add a little dab of the Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover to get off my mascara at the end of using the cleansing wipe and it slides right off! They are the best and super affordable.

Neutrogena Hydroboost Hydrating Cleansing Gel – This product is kept in my shower. I use two pumps of this every night to cleanse my face. Two shocking facts that will blow your mind. It is Neutrogena and it is oil free. I really was not super aware of how much Neutrogena I used. I am very happy with how clear it has kept my skin over the years with the amount of working out that I do and acne that I have had in the past. I know I have extremely sensitive skin and I am going to be trying some new skin care that my sister is having me try out over the next few months.

Thank you girls so much for checking out my favorite drug store beauty products! Please comment and share your favorites with me. I am always looking for new things to try. I’m sure you can all tell how much I love beauty and skin care. It is such a passion of mine along with food and fitness. I believe that we are all beautiful without makeup. But I feel my best when I have a little on. I will leave y’all with this funny blooper.

♥ Love and hugs, Maddie

Thanks Maddie for sharing! I have actually been looking into purchasing the Neutrogena hydro boost face care line, after reading your blog I think I will. Also do you have any recommendations for drugstore foundation? I have done some research and was looking at trying the Neutrogena skin clearing liquid makeup along with the Neutrogena healthy skin anti-aging perfector. From what I have read, the anti-aging perfector has a tint to it combined with spf so you can wear it alone or under the skin clearing foundation. Have you tried either of these? I definitely want something that will nourish and protect my skin from sun damage so spf is a must. I am looking for something more reasonable in cost and as much as I love my current foundation I just can’t justify spending upwards of $48 dollars on foundation and hundreds on skin care products. My skin is also very prone to breakouts! Thanks for the makeup tips!

I love love love Neutrogena products!!! I am super acne prone and have to be super careful of what I put on my skin. As far as foundation, I still buy pretty high end foundation. I am too nervous to take the plunge and try drug store foundation. I use Tarte Face Tape foundation which is oil free (they just had a 25% off online at Ulta on that so I tried it out) and I also use Born This Way foundation that I purchased at Sephora in the winter that is oil free. I have tried CC cream from ITcosmetics and it seems to make my skin a little too oily even though it is oil free and it is not enough coverage and it is SOOO expensive. I will say one of my favorite moisturizing light coverage drug store products that I wear when I am running and going to the gym is Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for Redness Prone skin. It is tinted and I love it. I have very red undertones and I love that. I will have to keep my eyes and ears open to drug store foundation and keep you posted!!!
